Trending: 5 Interior Design Trends I Saw at High Point Market

I spent last-last weekend at High Point Market.  Considered the world’s largest home furnishings trade show, High Point Market covers over 12.2 million square feet of showroom space and 2000 exhibitors across 180 buildings in High Point, NC.

Twice a year, more than 75,000 visitors descend on High Point to see and indulge in the latest and greatest in interior design – from furniture, rugs and lighting to accessories, art and, well, basically anything you can imagine for your home.

If you follow us on Instagram (@habitudeinteriors) you may have already spotted our stories with our favorite highlights from Market.

But – in case you missed those stories – here’s our recap with five of our favorite interior design trends we saw at Market this year.

Jewel Tones

Neutrals will always have our heart, but we are seeing more options in saturated jewel tones. The right pop of color can add so much beautiful dimension to a space.

Light Wood/Caning/Rattan

Whether your style is traditional or boho, we are seeing more use of lighter woods, caning and rattan.

Fuzzy Furniture

While it might not be for everyone, there was definitely a lot of fuzzy furniture at Market. These could be a fun, playful addition to a kid’s bedroom, a game room or loft, or any other fun, more casual space.

Creative Outdoor Furniture

Long gone are the days where you have the same faux-wicker outdoor furniture as your neighbor.  There are so many options available now.

Brass Everywhere

Brass has been big for several years now and it shows no sign of fading.  You will find brass details on everything from sofas and chairs to bar carts, mirrors and other accent pieces.  We love layering in brass accents for the classic warmth it brings to a space.
